To celebrate National Garden Week, June 1st through June 7th, Sylvia Lent and Roberta Walden, members of the Green Thumb Garden Club, visited the Radio Station KVOU and taped gardening tips broadcast twice daily during this week. On Thursday, June 5th, they together with Patricia Rasor, had a live broadcast where they talked about their clubs.  Sylvia and Patricia representing Green Thumb and Roberta representing Uvalde Garden Club.
